Hey D6 friends and neighbors!
I’m excited to announce I am running for School Board in Spartanburg District 6.
My husband and I have proudly called District 6 home the past 24 years, where we've raised our three children who attended Fairforest Elementary, Fairforest Middle, Dawkins Middle, and Dorman High School. We’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact our schools, teachers, and staff have had on their lives.

Our daughter, Grace, is a Wofford graduate now pursuing her Ph.D. in chemistry. Our older son, Jason, is beginning his final year at Furman, and our youngest, Joseph, is in 8th grade — playing football and performing in the band.
As a first-generation college graduate (USC Columbia, B.A. '94), I know the power of education to change lives. Today, I serve as Executive Assistant to the CEO of an education nonprofit that supports all Spartanburg County schools. My husband is a lifelong public school educator and administrator, beginning his 30th year of service.
Why I'm running
Why I'm running
From early on, I knew the best way to support all children’s success was to support their schools. For the past two decades, I've lived by this philosophy —serving on School Improvement Councils, as PTO president/treasurer, as a frequent field trip chaperone, and as a library volunteer —whatever it takes to help kids.
As a school board member, I would bring:
A parent's perspective - three children educated in D6
20-year history of supporting our schools:
Coordinating PTO fundraisers
Advocating for students and teachers as member of School Improvement Councils
Volunteering wherever and whenever needed
30+ years professional experience - in business, medical, government and nonprofit roles.
A heart and passion for serving others.
I would love the chance to earn your vote and will work hard to build on the district's success!
